There are few communities in the western half of our state better situated than Olean for water sports. Residents can have breakfast in their own home, spend an incredible day on the water, fishing, boating, water skiing, and more, then drive home just far enough away to avoid the tourist traffic and other issues.

They pump it back into the sewer if a drain is available. If not, it goes into a tank truck for delivery to a water treatment plant.

Next, SERVPRO teams dry the floors, walls, and any property that was under the water. To increase the natural evaporation process, they install exhaust fans to draw the damp air from inside the home to the outside and dehumidifiers to draw water directly from the air and nearby surfaces.

To directly dry property, technicians install air movers. They can direct these devices in any direction, including up walls toward the ceiling. By adjusting the speed and temperature of the airflow, technicians can dry everything from furniture to fragile drywall. Since this is outside flood damage, teams cannot guarantee the cleanliness of any carpets. After removing the water, the safest option is to dispose of them immediately rather than waste time and resources trying to clean them.

With other property, technicians wipe down or spray every surface with another anti-bacterial cleaner. Where necessary, team members use scrub brushes to work the cleaner into items like sofas or upholstered chairs.
