The Fenton Mansion was built in 1863, and visitors can experience the look and feel of a Victorian home. The museum has exhibits dedicated to the Civil War and Underground Railroad. The underground railroad played an essential role in the history of Jamestown. One of the newest exhibits, “Made in Jamestown: How Furniture Built a City,” outlines the furniture industry that led to the city being known as “The Furniture Capital of the World.” 

Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History

Roger Tory Peterson is famous for his beautiful studies of nature. His love for and study of plants and animals worldwide has allowed us to know much about nature. The institute has exhibits, active projects, and archives of his work. If you are a lover of nature, it is something you will not want to miss. The RTP Institute is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM – 4 PM. Sunday hours are 1 PM – 5 PM. They are closed Mondays and holidays.

Allen Park

If getting outside is what you enjoy, then a day at Allen Park is a perfect choice. You can enjoy:
